Laundry Aide
About The Position
Journey is seeking a Laundry Aide to support its care team and contribute to a clean, safe environment for residents. The role includes daily and deep cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas; operating and maintaining cleaning equipment; and preparing and distributing supply packs and linens. The Laundry Aide is expected to respect residents’ privacy and individual needs, follow infection control policies, and complete required documentation accurately. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED diploma.
Nice To Haves
- Previous long-term care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and deep cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Manage trash and waste materials.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and floor buffers, safely and effectively.
- Prepare and distribute supply packs and linens as needed.
- Respect residents’ privacy and individual needs.
- Adhere to infection control policies.
- Complete required documentation accurately.
