About The Position

The Laundry Aide supports laundry and housekeeping operations in Health & Wellness. The role includes collecting residents’ personal laundry, laundering and maintaining linen, managing linen inventory and deliveries, and keeping laundry, storage, clean-linen, and common areas clean and sanitary. The Laundry Aide also assists Health & Wellness housekeepers with daily housekeeping duties and performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and resident satisfaction. The position is part-time, scheduled Fridays and Saturdays.

Requirements

Entry-level position; no experience required.
Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in laundry duties in a professional setting.
Experience in a Continuing Care and Retirement Community (CCRC) or healthcare setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Collect personal laundry from designated resident rooms in the facility and carry out laundry duties in Health & Wellness.
Maintain inventory of linen shelves and receive weekly linen deliveries.
Stack shelves, stock linen carts, and deliver clean linen to Health & Wellness rooms.
Launder and maintain linen in the spa and therapy areas.
Keep laundry rooms, storerooms, and clean linen rooms clean and sanitary.
Assist Health & Wellness housekeepers with daily housekeeping duties.
Keep common spaces and other areas clean and sanitary.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and resident satisfaction.
