Laundry Aide: Part Time
About The Position
Valley View Retirement Community is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to support the daily operations of its Laundry Department. The role helps ensure residents have a clean, safe, and adequate supply of linens and personal garments. The position is part time, scheduled from 2 PM to 10 PM, six days per pay period, including every other weekend and holiday. The Laundry Aide works in a supportive, mission-driven, faith-based community and contributes to residents’ comfort, dignity, and well-being. The position calls for organization, efficiency, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to service.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily laundry tasks according to established procedures.
- Collect, sort, and weigh soiled linens, garments, and personal items.
- Identify and separate items requiring special stain treatment.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Press and iron garments as needed.
- Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry and linens to residents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary laundry environment.
- Ensure an adequate supply of linens is available at all times.
