The Latinx & Newcomer Services Site Coordinator will work in collaboration with school staff and community partners to coordinate and deliver essential support services to students and families. This role is targeted to support the needs of Latinx & newcomer students and families in SFUSD schools. The coordinator will use a comprehensive approach to provide youth with academic coaching and support, including individual learning plans, one-one coaching, cohort projects, and collaborating with school admin/community coordinator/counseling/wellness offices to ensure program content complements school goals and initiatives. The Latinx & Newcomer Services Site Coordinator will promote equity, self-advocacy, positive cultural identity formation, healthy behaviors, and self-care. This role requires approaching education and support services as a matter of social justice and acting in the best interests of the students and families served. This position plans and coordinates the service strategy, with 75% of the time dedicated to direct services delivery to students and families at school sites, 15% to coordinating and implementing a summer camp, and 10% to developing the implementation of community events, workshops, and trainings.
