About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time high/middle school Latin teacher for approximately 2 hours per week. This is an in-person, on-site position in Denham Springs, LA, near Baton Rouge. The role is within a classical and Catholic classroom environment. While formal teaching certification or experience is not required, the ideal candidate will have a deep love for the Catholic faith, be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, and live the faith daily, including having received appropriate sacraments. The academy provides training for instruction and classroom management. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship. Childcare and nursery are provided during working hours. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training.

Requirements

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all appropriate sacraments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good organization.
• Timeliness.
• Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Availability for mandatory training on August 10, 11, and 13, 2026.
• Must pass a background check.

• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
• Experience in ministry within a Catholic parish.
• Experience teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.

• Experience teaching in a classical or private school.

Responsibilities

• Teach Latin in a classical and Catholic classroom setting.
• Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
