About The Position

Aspen Careers is partnering with a well-established national law firm that is making a significant investment in the growth of its Ohio platform to identify experienced Lateral Partners interested in joining and helping expand its Columbus team. The firm is especially interested in attorneys with established practices in Corporate/M&A, Complex Litigation, and Trusts & Estates/Wealth Management, although leadership is open to discussing other strong practices that complement the firm's platform. This is an opportunity for an experienced attorney who wants the resources of a national firm while joining an Ohio team that is being intentionally built for long-term growth.

Requirements

• An established legal practice and strong client relationships.
• A portable book of business that can support the attorney's practice on the firm's platform.
• Strong client-development and relationship-management skills.
• A track record of high-quality legal work and client service.
• Ability to collaborate across practices and offices.
• Strong professional reputation and sound judgment.
• Appropriate Ohio licensure or ability to satisfy applicable admission requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Attorneys with established practices in Corporate/M&A, Complex Litigation, and Trusts & Estates/Wealth Management.
• Other strong practices that complement the firm's platform.
• The firm may also consider attorneys with partial or developing books of business when the overall opportunity makes sense.

Responsibilities

• Bring your existing client relationships to a platform with more than 350 attorneys and a broad range of legal capabilities.
• Work across offices and practice groups to expand the services available to your clients.
• Play a meaningful role in the continued development of the firm's Columbus presence.
• Explore opportunities to grow your practice through the firm's expanding business and referral platform.
• Help grow the firm's presence throughout Columbus and Ohio.
