Weekend Lash Artist - Saturday or Sunday Shift
About The Position
Eye Candy MedSpa and Lash Bar is hiring a weekend lash artist for its Buena Park studio. The role requires a commitment to Saturday or Sunday, with both days preferred. One weekend day is enough to start, and weekday shifts may become available as the artist’s client book and clinic needs grow. Studio hours are Saturday 9 a.m.–7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.–6 p.m. This is a W-2 employee position, not a chair rental. Compensation is $200–$500 per day, based on 50% commission on service sales, plus tips. The studio provides lash supplies and products, and its front desk manages bookings, confirmations, reminders, and payments. The medspa’s injectable and laser clients may also provide referral opportunities. The company operates locations in Buena Park, Lakewood, and Newport Beach. The artist will provide a range of lash extension sets and fills, advise clients on eye shape and lash health, recommend refill schedules, support client retention, and maintain sanitation standards and client records. Requirements
- Current California esthetician or cosmetology license.
- At least 2 years of professional lash extension experience as a lash artist or lash technician.
- Confidence with classic, hybrid, and volume work, including handmade fans.
- Reliable and punctual, with a focus on keeping clients.
- Availability to commit to Saturday or Sunday; both days are preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with anime- or manga-style and wispy specialty sets.
- Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday.
Responsibilities
- Provide classic, hybrid, volume, and mega volume lash extension sets and fills.
- Consult with clients about eye shape and lash health.
- Set each client’s refill schedule.
- Keep the client book rebooked and support client retention.
- Follow California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology sanitation standards.
- Keep client records current.
