About The Position

The Laser Technician provides client-centered laser, aesthetic, and body-contouring services in a med spa setting. The role includes developing customized skin-care plans and conducting aesthetic consultations to address clients’ short- and long-term goals. The technician works within the scope of issued licenses and certifications, collaborates with Mid-Level Providers on client care, and follows company, state, HIPAA, and other applicable medical protocols.

The position also involves maintaining clean, organized treatment areas and accurate client charting; supporting inventory, order storage, and team training; reporting client concerns to designated clinical and operational leaders; and participating in continuing education and team meetings. A flexible schedule, including weekend availability, is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Laser Technician license issued by the Department of Licensing.
• Medical Esthetician License issued by the state.
• Availability to work weekends and a flexible schedule.
• Strong and extensive knowledge of laser and skin-treatment procedures, esthetician practices, and medical practice management.
• Ability to self-promote and participate in company social media in accordance with guidelines and expectations.
• Understanding of patient/client confidentiality under HIPAA and company policy.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for transportation.
• High integrity and a strong ethical foundation.
• Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to reach above shoulder height, crawl, kneel, and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client service to support customer satisfaction, experience, and productivity.
• Perform job duties within the scope of issued licenses and certifications.
• Work with Mid-Level Providers as needed for client care.
• Assist with training peers and new hires to support company standards.
• Maintain medical protocols for laser services, including state regulations, HIPAA, and company compliance programs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow the approved dress code.
• Perform laser services, including laser hair removal and photo-facials.
• Perform aesthetic services, including dermaplaning, SkinPen microneedling with and without PRP, facials, chemical peels, and HydraFacial.
• Perform body-contouring services, including CoolSculpting.
• Develop customized, client-centered skin-care plans through services, product sales, and treatments.
• Conduct aesthetic consultations to address clients’ short- and long-term goals.
• Keep work and treatment areas clean and organized.
• Help unpack and store orders appropriately and promptly.
• Support inventory management by communicating inventory needs and counts to management.
• Ensure client charting is accurate, timely, and complete.
• Attend continuing education as requested by Clinical Management.
• Attend team meetings organized by the direct supervisor and Clinical Management and provide input.
• Report client concerns promptly to the Senior Laser Technician, Manager, Mid-Level Provider, and Operations Manager.
