We are specifically looking for candidates with experience operating 2D laser-cutting equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Familiarity with material handling equipment
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• Must have excellent attendance as well as willingness and ability to work overtime
• Physically demanding task of unloading parts from sheet steel skeletons throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds continuously.
• Must be able to pull and position steel sheets.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and run 2D laser cutting machines safely and efficiently
• Program and nest parts using DXF files for optimal material utilization
• Load and adjust laser programs and troubleshoot as needed
• Perform first piece and in-process quality inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Handle material loading/unloading and organize parts per job requirements
• Identify and correct quality issues or nonconforming parts
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain 5S standards
