About The Position

DirectHire One of our valued manufacturing clients in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin is growing and looking to add Machine Operators to their fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with machine operating, metal fabrication, saw cutting, laser, brake press, or material prep experience who enjoys working in a hands-on production environment. If you have strong blueprint reading skills, mechanical aptitude, and enjoy working with metal parts, this is a great long-term opportunity with room for growth. Note: these are full-time, direct hire opportunities and available immediately!

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior machine operator, fabrication, CNC, saw, laser, or brake press experience
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
• Strong math, measurement, and inspection skills
• Experience using hand tools and measuring tools

Nice To Haves

• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
• Experience in sheet metal or fabricated metal products highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, travelers, and cut lists
• Measure, verify, and inspect parts using tape measures, calipers, and gauges
• Select correct tooling, programs, materials, and dimensions prior to machine operation
• Support material prep functions including deburring, grinding, cleaning, and staging
• Load and unload materials and finished parts safely
• Perform first-piece and in-process quality checks
• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality standards
• Complete production logs and required documentation
• Maintain clean, safe work areas in line with 5S and safety standards
• Support continuous improvement, scrap reduction, and production efficiency initiatives
