Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Laser Operator is preferred.
  • Industrial Fabricator applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must meet the required norms on aptitude tests.
  • You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, displaying basic mechanical skills, and having good problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to acquiring industry-specific knowledge and displaying a positive attitude will be crucial.

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for operating and maintaining a 6KW CNC laser cutting system to accurately cut sheet metal and structural steel components in support of HVAC ductwork and fabrication operations.
  • The laser operator will interpret shop drawings and CNC programs, select appropriate materials and gauges, load and unload material, and perform in-process and final quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy and cut quality.
  • Additional responsibilities include blueprint reading, material handling, and safely operating shop equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, SkyTraks, or tractors.
