About The Position

The Laser Operator is responsible for operating laser machinery to produce parts according to specifications. This role requires adherence to safety and environmental procedures, punctuality, and effective communication. The operator will manage job programs, operate an overhead crane, perform basic maintenance, and ensure smooth machine operation to minimize downtime. A key aspect of the role is ensuring the quality of parts produced through accurate measurement and interpretation of blueprints.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to use quality inspection equipment
• Proficient with basic math and computer skills
• Ability to operate overhead crane
• Proficient communication skills

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental procedures
• Come to work everyday, on time as scheduled
• Retrieve job program from server and activate laser machine
• Operate overhead crane to load material and unload skeletons
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair on laser to ensure it runs smoothly and reduce downtime
• Execute scheduling board
• Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts
