About The Position

The Laser Helper/Timesaver assists the laser operator in a fast-paced environment with machine setup, maintenance, and operation, while supporting quality and workplace safety. The role primarily performs manual tasks while the operator manages the machine's operation. This is an on-site position located in Aurora, Ohio, on second shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers.
Requires standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Experience or knowledge of laser machines.
Experience with automation.
Technical or trade school education.
Understanding machine programs.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials onto the laser cutting machine, including lifting and positioning materials.
Remove cut pieces from the machine and stack them according to specifications.
Perform basic machine maintenance.
Inspect finished parts for defects and compliance with quality standards.
Assist with minor machine adjustments.
Keep the workspace clean by removing scrap material and debris.
Follow safety protocols during machine operation.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints.
Use measuring instruments such as calipers.
Understand and modify machine programs.
Use a PC for basic editing and logging.
