About The Position

LaserCraft, Inc. is hiring a Laser / Forming Operator for its shop floor. The operator performs laser cutting and metal forming work, sets up and operates metalworking equipment, checks finished products against specifications, and documents completed work. The role also involves troubleshooting, minor repairs or prescribed maintenance, material handling, reporting defects, and safe forklift operation. This is a full-time, second-shift position with four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m.

Ability to safely operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

Read specifications or follow verbal instructions.
Perform laser cutting operations, including selecting appropriate cutting programs and fixtures, establishing stop locations, and adjusting the laser beam focal point.
Set up cutting operations.
Lay out, set up, and operate metalworking machines and hand tools to cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, or otherwise shape and form metal stock.
Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other required specifications.
Troubleshoot equipment and perform corrective action, minor repairs, or prescribed maintenance.
Select and transport materials to the work area manually or using a crane or hoist, as needed.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable part conditions to a supervisor.
Operate a forklift safely.
Document completed work as required.
