This position operates various pieces of equipment to maintain quality of cut materials, per custom or stock specifications, for sale to customers in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Monitoring cutting performance (deburring as needed) and efficiency are essential. The individual must have exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes. The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail. Must possess the ability to operate a forklift, overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, and hand tools. Must be able to determine material types and gauges. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist. Must be able to read and write job numbers and label kits accordingly. Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements. Other duties as assigned.
