About The Position

The Large Valve Stores Production Team role is responsible for producing quality parts and assemblies while prioritizing safety, maintaining 5S standards, and following work instructions. The role includes maintaining equipment, completing required testing and documentation, keeping the department clean and stocked, and supporting production processes that reduce lead times and optimize make-to-order cycles. It also involves managing assembly costs associated with labor, materials, tooling, and inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and strength in arms and legs.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Two to three years of proven experience working with CNC machinery, such as mills, lathes, or grinders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all job duties with safety as a priority and comply with safety rules.
• Align with and maintain areas to 5S standards.
• Segregate non-conforming materials according to work instructions.
• Maintain equipment through daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Produce quality parts and assemblies and eliminate the cost of non-conformance.
• Perform required testing and complete paperwork, quality records, and other documents.
• Follow all safety and work instructions.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping rules and standards; clean and restock as needed.
• Reduce lead times and optimize production cycles to conform to make-to-order processes.
• Maintain competitive assembly costs associated with labor, materials, tooling, and inventory.
