About The Position

Clow Valve’s Machine Shop is hiring a Large Valve Assembler. This role prepares, assembles, inspects, and packages large valve products using work instructions, hand tools, and other equipment. The position is on second shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Starting wage is $28.21 per hour, with a qualified rate of $28.34 per hour. Health insurance is available after 60 days.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry less than 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, lift, and twist frequently, up to 12 times per hour.
Ability to stand more than 6 hours per day.
Ability to move the neck forward and backward and turn right and left.
Ability to use both hands and fingers repetitively to grasp, exert force, wear gloves, and use tools.
Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions.
Ability to work with hands in water.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal guards, and protective boots.

Responsibilities

Prepare work by studying assembly instructions and parts lists, and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Position parts and components according to work instructions.
Test products and visually inspect quality to verify specifications.
Assemble products using hand tools and other equipment.
Resolve verifiable assembly problems to meet specifications and notify a supervisor when additional resources are needed.
Palletize completed products and prepare them for shipment.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Monitor supplies inventory, anticipate supply needs, place and expedite orders, and verify receipt of supplies.
Complete production and quality forms to document work.
Contribute to team production requirements as needed.
