About The Position

Admore®, Inc. is seeking a Printing Press Assistant/Helper for its Macomb, Michigan facility. This is a full-time, hourly union position. The company is the largest manufacturer of premium presentation folders and related items, offering a variety of printing and finishing services. The Assistant/Helper role supports the printing press operator in preparing, operating, and maintaining the printing press. This includes tasks such as installing plates, loading paper, mixing inks, and ensuring print quality. The position requires a reliable, dependable, punctual, and flexible individual willing to work an off-shift, midnight position with mandatory overtime. The facility is air-conditioned and offers a positive, productive, and fair work environment.

  • Must pass a pre-employment 5-panel urine drug screen.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, operating, and maintaining the printing press.
  • Install and adjust printing plates.
  • Load and feed paper into the press.
  • Mix inks and control ink flow.
  • Ensure the quality of the final printed piece.
  • Make adjustments to equipment, such as the feeder mechanism, based on paper size.
  • Perform other tasks associated with the make-ready and continuous operation of the printing press.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the pressroom.
  • Retrieve and prepare paper stock for press operators.
  • Retrieve material and products for in-house production needs.
  • Take direction from others for day-to-day tasks.
  • Work well in a team environment.
