This is a full-time, benefited position and is considered essential personnel. The role involves cleaning and maintenance of patient care and holding areas and equipment, preparing and sanitizing hospital facilities, and stocking and monitoring supplies. The individual will also assist with feeding, exercising, grooming, restraint, and handling patients for examination and diagnostic procedures. This requires experience working with horses and an understanding of their physical and behavioral traits. The role also includes assisting a team with anesthetic induction and recovery of large animal patients (mostly horses) for surgery and other procedures including MRI, CT, Radiology, etc. Additionally, the position involves cleaning and maintenance of anesthetic induction/recovery suites and associated equipment. This is a physically demanding position requiring extensive strength and agility. The ideal candidate will genuinely care about people and animals, be outgoing, enthusiastic, and a team player, eager to learn, adapt quickly to a changing environment, and maintain a positive attitude.
