About The Position

The Boeing Company's Global Services Engineering Capabilities organization is seeking an experienced leader for the Large Aircraft Spares Reachback and Structures engineering manager position in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves leading a team of engineers who perform engineering and technical activities to support BGS Spares Engineering. The manager will collaborate with Supply Chain Engineering and industry partners to develop safe, high-quality, and effective engineering solutions that meet relevant requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
5+ years of experience in an engineering related role
1+ years of experience working with Mechanical or Structures related statements of work.
At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering, including drawing updates and 3D modeling tasks.
Effectively plans and executes statement of work (cost, schedule, technical, & safety).
Establish, track, and automate value added metrics that help to effectively manage the business.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Establishes, develops, & maintains partnerships with team, customers, stakeholders, peers, & partners.
Effectively communicates with team, leadership, and stakeholders.
Mentor, motivate, and provide growth and development opportunities for team.
