About The Position

The Boeing Company's Global Services Engineering Capabilities organization is seeking an experienced leader for a first-line Large Aircraft Spares Reachback and Structures engineering manager position in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves leading engineers who perform engineering and technical activities to support BGS Spares Engineering. The manager will collaborate with Supply Chain Engineering and industry partners to develop safe, high-quality, and effective engineering solutions that meet requirements. The position requires managing employees in Mechanical & Structural Engineering, including drawing updates and 3D modeling. Responsibilities include planning and executing statements of work (cost, schedule, technical, and safety), establishing and automating metrics for business management, providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, developing partnerships, communicating effectively with teams and stakeholders, and mentoring team members for growth and development.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
5+ years of experience in an engineering related role
1+ years of experience working with Mechanical or Structures related statements of work.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
