About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking passionate Language Arts Instructors to inspire young minds in an engaging, collaborative classroom setting for the academic year 2026-2027. The Part-Time Instructor will teach a company-created curriculum designed for advanced students in small classes, actively involving students in a student-led learning environment. The role involves expert classroom management for up to 16 students, providing feedback on tests, and building relationships with students and families to foster a love for learning and critical thinking.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
Experience teaching or tutoring students.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Candidates must be located in Cambridge, MA or the surrounding area and must be able to commute to our campus.
Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
