About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate Language Arts Instructor to inspire young minds in an engaging, collaborative classroom setting. This part-time role involves teaching a company-created curriculum designed for advanced students in small classes, actively engaging students in student-led learning, managing classrooms of up to 16 students, grading tests, providing feedback, and building relationships with students and families to foster a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
Experience teaching or tutoring students.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Candidates must be located in Redmond, WA or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
