About The Position
AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate Part-Time Language Arts Instructor to teach an engaging, company-created curriculum to advanced elementary students in small class settings. The instructor will be responsible for leading classes, managing students, providing feedback on assignments, and building relationships with students and families to foster a love for learning and critical thinking. This is an in-person position at our Millburn Campus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to commute to our campus in Millburn/Short Hills, NJ or the greater area.
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
- A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Teach company-created curriculum and materials designed for advanced students to lead small classes in language arts.
- Actively involve students in each class or student-led learning.
- Expertly manage up to 16 students.
- Provide feedback on tests and assignments.
- Connect with students and families to make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
- Encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts.
