About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate Language Arts Instructor to inspire young minds in an engaging, collaborative classroom setting. This part-time role involves teaching a company-created curriculum designed for advanced students in small classes. The instructor will actively involve students in learning, manage classrooms of up to 16 students, grade assignments, provide feedback, and build relationships with students and families to foster a love for learning and critical thinking.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree is required
Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
Candidates must be located in Millburn/Short Hills, NJ or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US. We are unable to offer sponsorship, including STEM-OPT and H-1B.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred
Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
