About The Position
AoPS Academy is seeking passionate Language Arts Instructors to inspire young minds in an engaging, collaborative classroom setting for the academic year 2026-2027. This part-time, in-person position at our Cambridge location involves teaching advanced students using company-created curriculum, fostering student-led learning, and managing small classes. The role also includes providing feedback on tests and building relationships with students and families to positively impact their educational journey.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to commute to our campus in Cambridge, MA.
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
- A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Teach company-created curriculum and materials designed for advanced students to lead small classes in language arts.
- Actively involve students in each class for student-led learning.
- Manage up to 16 students effectively.
- Provide feedback on tests.
- Connect with students and families to make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
- Encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts.
