About The Position

The Landscaping Tech I performs routine groundskeeping and landscaping work at Via Christi St Francis in Wichita, Kansas. The role includes lawn care, landscape installation and maintenance, equipment operation and basic upkeep, material handling, snow removal assistance, and applying chemical treatments under the direct guidance of a licensed applicator. The position works in the Facilities department on a day-shift, full-time schedule.

Requirements

• Experience in the landscaping field.
• State driver’s license and insurability with the company’s agent.
• Ability to read and write in English.

• Some high school education or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lawn care, including mowing, edging, weeding, and seasonal spring and fall cleanups.
• Dig trenches; haul and spread materials such as topsoil, mulch, and gravel; finish grades; and install seed, sod, or plants.
• Safely load, unload, and operate landscaping equipment; perform basic maintenance on tools; assist with material transport and snow removal.
• Arrive on time, follow supervisor directions, assist facilities staff on projects, and maintain a polite, professional demeanor with customers.
• Apply chemical treatments safely under the direct guidance of a licensed applicator.
