About The Position

The Landscaping Manager is pivotal in the creation and maintenance of campus outdoor spaces that enhance property aesthetics and functionality. This position requires a unique blend of creativity, strong leadership skills, and practical landscaping knowledge. The Landscaping Manager oversees a team of landscapers, ensuring that landscaping projects meet the highest standards and are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required.
Extensive knowledge of trees and shrubs for zones is required.
Experience with natural pruning and sheering is required.
A High School diploma or GED is required.
Must be able to pass a background and MVR check.
Knowledge of plants, hardscape, masonry, carpentry, excavating, grading, drainage and snow removal.
Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions, both verbal and written.
Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Ability to exercise good judgment with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to help with production, scheduling and routing.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Nice To Haves

Prior commercial landscape experience is preferred.
Knowledge of plant diseases and insects is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversees the scheduling of work routes to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely manner.
Oversees and assists with the maintenance of client property, which includes mulching, shrub pruning, and weed and debris control of flower beds.
Supervises seasonal annual planting and designing of annual flower beds.
Cares for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks or walls.
Maintains and repairs tools, equipment and structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, and benches, using hand or power tools.
Supervises landscape crew members to ensure proper completion of tasks.
Provides proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters and other ground features.
Develops and maintains excellent customer service with current and potential clients.
Assists with snow removal when necessary.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
