About The Position

The Landscaping Crew is responsible for maintaining the landscaped grounds inside Moonlight Basin property. These areas include but are not limited to the lodge, entryway, and the residential sub-divisions within Moonlight Basin property. This position will also assist the golf maintenance team with other responsibilities on and off the golf course including seasonal maintenance practices during the summer.

Requirements

  • Safely operate hand tools and power equipment related to landscaping.
  • Knowledge of tools methods, and materials used in landscape maintenance work.
  • Mowing, tree & shrub trimming, mulch & flower bed maintenance, sod & seed projects, and installation of erosion control methods.
  • Perform daily responsibilities on the course in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team with other grounds crew members.
  • Follow written and oral directions from supervisor/manager.
  • Ability to understand Material Safety Data Sheets and other safety instructions.
  • Must be dependable and available to work within the resort on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands.
  • Must be able to work flexible and long hours as business demands.
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the landscaping and/or turf industry is preferred.
  • Prior experience operating outdoor power equipment including walk behind mowers, chain saws and trimmers.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the application of fertilizers and chemical applications under supervision of a licensed applicator.
  • Assisting with a variety of projects on the property related to maintenance, erosion matting, hydro-seeding, laying or hand watering new sod, seeding greens or tees, leveling irrigation heads, and planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times when on the property.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, vehicles and supplies are properly used, maintained, and stored.
  • Maintains positive interactions with club members and guests, providing a high level of customer service.
  • Performs any and all duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or other members of the senior management team, as deemed appropriate.
  • Assist with snow removal operations, including shoveling and site maintenance, as required during winter weather conditions.
