Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance Field Supervisor

Requirements
- Proactive leader with a strong work ethic and self-starter attitude.
- Ability to interact with the public and employees.
- Knowledge of operating and performing preventative maintenance on mowers, trimmers, tractors, etc.
- Willingness to complete training to get all required certifications and licenses within 6 months, if required.
- Clean driving history with experience driving a trailer.
- Good driving record with a 2-year history.
- Attention to detail.
- Enjoy routine work.
- Work well with others.
- Displays good communication skills and customer service skills.
- Competent and consistent in customer service skills and quality control.
- Physical Requirements: Bending, kneeling, heavy lifting and excessive walking.
- Must be able to tolerate extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to navigate over rough/uneven terrain.
- Must be able to observe and inspect outdoor spaces.
Nice To Haves
- Turf/Fertilization experience preferred.
- Landscape enhancement knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities
- Observe the organization of work to identify and resolve training issues and take the necessary actions to ensure quality work.
- Keep things organized, interact with and develop relationships with customers, and identify, propose, and sell ‘contract extra work’ opportunities.
- Provide support to the team and maintain a positive company culture, finding solutions for staff issues and ensuring team members have the training they need.
- Implement and maintain safety training, equipment maintenance, payroll reporting, completion of all services, routing and scheduling, gross margins, and reporting processes to the Owner.
- Implement Grounds Guys franchise systems effectively and efficiently throughout the business.
- Manage various personnel functions including hiring, promoting, merit recommendations, disciplinary actions, and vacation schedules of all field personnel and staff.
- Operate and perform preventative maintenance on mowers, trimmers, tractors, etc.
- Build working, friendly, and professional relationships with each customer.
- Respond quickly and thoroughly to customer concerns and requests.
- Develop relationships with maintenance customers to build loyalty and referrals.
- Maintain assigned materials/equipment and maximize their useful life.
- Enforce safety policies strictly and company policy consistently.
- Monitor tool assignments and loss/damage; hold team members accountable as needed.
- Maintain vehicles, tools and equipment according to manufacturers’ directions.
- Maintain Fuel/Mileage logs for vehicles and equipment.
