About The Position

The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Public Works team is seeking a Landscape Worker (Entry Level) to support the maintenance and improvement of landscaped areas and open spaces across RSIC. This role provides hands-on training and work experience under a higher-skilled Landscape Supervisor, with potential for growth. The position involves assisting with landscape installation and upkeep, debris and weed removal, groundskeeping, minor building maintenance, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, mulching, raking, pruning, basic pest control, winter snow/ice removal, trimming hazardous limbs, occasional sprinkler system support, and basic street maintenance support. The worker will also read and follow procedure/equipment manuals, work safely with tools, and interact respectfully with staff and the public.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED
Basic landscape experience preferred
Valid Nevada driver's license at appointment (CDL may be required)
Ability to read/write/speak English for the job and follow oral instructions
Reliable attendance
Teamwork and communication skills
Able to perform sustained manual labor
Able to lift up to 75 lbs
Able to work in varied weather

First Aid/CPR preferred

Responsibilities
