Landscape Worker
About The Position
The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Public Works team is seeking a Landscape Worker to support the maintenance and improvement of landscaped areas and open spaces across RSIC. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and work experience under a Landscape Supervisor, with potential for growth. The role involves assisting with landscape installation and upkeep, debris and weed removal, groundskeeping, minor building maintenance, and various horticultural tasks such as mowing, planting, watering, fertilizing, mulching, raking, and pruning. Additionally, responsibilities include basic pest control, winter snow/ice removal, trimming hazardous limbs, occasional sprinkler system support, and basic street maintenance. The worker will be expected to read and follow procedure/equipment manuals, use hand and power tools safely, and interact respectfully with staff and the public.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Basic landscape experience preferred
- Valid Nevada driver's license at appointment (CDL may be required)
- Ability to read/write/speak English for the job and follow oral instructions
- Reliable attendance
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Able to perform sustained manual labor
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Able to work in varied weather

Responsibilities
- Assisting with landscape installation and upkeep
