About The Position

The Landscape Maintenance Manager is responsible for scheduling and managing daily operations, supervising crews, maintaining quality standards, and identifying opportunities to expand services through client needs and property evaluations for the Steamboat Association Management Team.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years in landscape operations in supervisor or manager role with a strong knowledge of commercial and residential landscape maintenance practices
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English (required)
  • Self-motivated individually and able to manage a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to handle pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record compliant with our insurance requirements
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards

Nice To Haves

  • Horticulture or arborist certifications (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage daily landscape maintenance operations and crew assignments.
  • Supervise, lead, and support landscape maintenance crews.
  • Train and develop employees to ensure competency, productivity, and safety.
  • Oversee the quality and consistency of landscape maintenance services.
  • Conduct property evaluations and identify maintenance needs and service opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through responsive customer service.
  • Communicate with clients regarding service needs, concerns, and expectations.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, attendance, and completion of work.
  • Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Maintain compliance with safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and adjust schedules or priorities as needed.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services based on client needs and property conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records, schedules, and other department documentation.
  • Work closely with the Director of Maintenance and other departments to support overall operations.
  • Perform hands-on landscape maintenance duties and assist crews as needed.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
