About The Position

Brownswood Nursery is seeking a Landscape Installation Crew Leader for their Foreman Track program. This full-time position in Charleston, SC, offers competitive hourly pay ($22–$25/hour DOE) and the opportunity to lead landscape installation crews. The role involves working alongside a crew to install high-quality landscapes from start to finish, while simultaneously developing leadership skills to manage projects independently. The company provides support and training from experienced professionals. Ideal candidates take pride in their work, are motivated, dependable, eager to learn, and prefer working outdoors.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of landscaping, landscape installation, or related outdoor work experience preferred
• Interest in growing into a leadership role within the Landscape Division
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and a willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and a drive to complete projects with high-quality results
• Basic understanding of grading, drainage, planting, and landscape construction preferred
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Ability to follow plans, drawings, instructions, and daily direction
• Strong knowledge of Charleston plant materials preferred (training available)
• Able to handle physical activity—lifting, loading, digging, planting, and working outdoors in varying weather
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

Nice To Haves

• Ability to drive tractors with trailers a plus (training available)

Responsibilities

• Work alongside your crew installing high-quality landscapes from start to finish
• Support, motivate, and encourage crew members as you develop your leadership skills
• Follow landscape plans, drawings, and daily project direction with attention to detail
• Apply and grow your knowledge of grading, drainage, planting, and landscape construction
• Help keep projects moving forward on time and to a high standard
• Operate company tools and equipment safely, and uphold jobsite safety
• Interact with clients and prospects in a professional, courteous manner
• Help our team grow—giving and receiving constructive feedback with respect
