Landscape Foreman / Operations Manager
About The Position
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Landscape Foreman / Operations Manager for a well-established landscaping company in the New Bern area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can confidently manage daily operations, lead crews, communicate professionally with clients, and help reduce the owner’s day-to-day labor workload. The ideal candidate must have strong landscaping knowledge, leadership abilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and experienced in all aspects of landscape maintenance and installation.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of landscaping experience REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of landscaping operations, equipment, and installation work
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field
- Clean background REQUIRED — no theft-related criminal history
- Reliable transportation
- Must be dependable, professional, and willing to learn
Nice To Haves
- Prior foreman, crew lead, or management experience strongly preferred
- Clean driving record preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead landscaping crews on residential and commercial job sites
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Perform and oversee mowing, edging, trimming, planting, mulch installation, sod installation, paver installation, shrub care, and general landscape maintenance
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on mowers and small landscaping equipment
- Ensure quality work is completed efficiently and safely
- Assist in scheduling, daily operations, and helping streamline workload for ownership
- Train and guide crew members as needed
