About The Position

GroundSystems is a locally owned commercial landscaping company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, specializing in landscape maintenance, enhancements, irrigation, and snow removal. The company is hiring a Landscape & Enhancements Crew Leader for its Dayton location. This hands-on position leads a crew of 1–4 employees, oversees daily operations, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The role includes outdoor physical work, equipment operation and maintenance, and recording employee hours and job activities using a mobile device. The position offers year-round, full-time employment and opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

• Be at least 20 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have a valid driver's license with no violations in the past three years.
• Be able to speak and understand basic English.
• Have experience operating landscaping equipment and hand tools.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors.
• Be able to work overtime as needed.

• Previous landscaping experience.
• Previous crew leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train crew members.
• Perform landscape maintenance and enhancements, including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, planting, pruning, and seasonal cleanups.
• Ensure job-site quality, productivity, and safety.
• Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Track employee hours and job activities using a mobile device.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment.
