About The Position
Fisher is seeking a Landscape Designer II with 3+ years of experience to join their team. This role will focus on redevelopment, waterfront, civic, and urban site projects, offering opportunities for design ownership and progress towards licensure. The designer will prepare grading plans, layouts, ADA details, and construction documents, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to shape Western New York communities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of landscape architecture experience.
- Degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Progress toward landscape architecture licensure and interest in increasing design ownership.
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Strong technical production, documentation, and task-management skills.
- Clear written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
- Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset.
- Ability to respond well to feedback.
- Ownership of assigned work.
Nice To Haves
- Experience producing technical documents for small projects with increasing independence.
- Familiarity with ADA requirements and practical implementation in project work.
- Experience coordinating with other disciplines and contributing to buildable design solutions.
- Comfort with office standards, materials research, and production document organization.
Responsibilities
- Produce technical documents and construction drawings for small projects.
- Support the design and production of larger multidisciplinary projects.
- Contribute to site design, grading plans, layout development, ADA implementation, and construction-ready documentation.
- Coordinate design requirements with civil, transportation, planning, and other team members.
- Conduct product and material research.
- Develop practical design and product solutions and present them for consideration.
- Apply office standard details and adapt them to project-specific requirements.
- Maintain strong drawing organization and project file integrity.
