About The Position

The Design & Build Driver/Operator safely and efficiently transports heavy equipment, trailers, and materials to and from landscape construction and special‑project job sites. Operates and moves skid steers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery between shop, yard, and worksites as directed. Performs pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, basic vehicle and equipment maintenance, and proper load securement in compliance with company and DOT standards. Works closely with the Design & Build Foreman, Project Manager, and crew to keep equipment ready, deliveries on time, and job sites organized. Follows all OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies, promptly reports incidents or equipment issues, and maintains a clean, current CDL and DOT medical card. Supports equipment staging, yard organization, and cleanup while always prioritizing safety, quality, and customer expectations.

Requirements

Valid CDL class A or B
Experience hauling and securing equipment over 10,000 lbs
Familiarity with DOT regulations and safe hauling practices
Maintains a clean, current CDL and DOT medical card

Nice To Haves

3 years of CDL experience preferred
