About The Position

Givens Highland Farms, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community, is seeking a full-time Landscape Crew Member for its Grounds Team. The position maintains the campus’s appearance and helps provide a safe, attractive environment for residents. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Compensation is $20.00–$21.50 per hour, based on background and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• At least six months of experience in a grounds worker capacity.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties necessary to maintain an attractive and safe environment throughout campus.
• Assist with turf maintenance as needed, including trimming on banks and natural areas.
• Keep shrub and flower beds clean, weeded, edged, and mulched.
• Remove fallen leaves.
• Prune shrubs and trees with guidance from the Landscape Crew Member.
• Maintain power equipment and hand tools under the supervision of the Mechanic.
• Keep the campus clean and neat by picking up litter and fallen limbs and cleaning silt from curbs.
• Perform other duties or tasks assigned by an authorized supervisor as needed.
