About The Position

Crestview Landscape is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support our high-end custom landscape construction business. This role plays a key part in the company's continued growth by preparing accurate estimates and helping deliver exceptional service to our clients. We're looking for someone who enjoys analyzing plans, solving problems, collaborating with others, and finding creative solutions that meet both design intent and project logistics. Requirements

  • 2+ years of estimating experience in commercial landscape construction, hardscape construction, civil/site development, or a related construction industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of landscape installation methods, irrigation systems, lighting, hardscape, and related construction practices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape, architectural, and civil plans.
  • Strong understanding of construction estimating principles and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), or similar estimating software is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software, systems, and processes as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze landscape, architectural, and civil plans to determine project scope.
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using estimating software.
  • Prepare detailed project budgets and competitive estimates.
  • Work with clients to clarify and refine project scope throughout the estimating process.
  • Coordinate with the estimating team, production team, vendors, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive proposals.
  • Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage bid clarifications.
  • Conduct occasional site visits to evaluate site conditions, access, logistics, and installation requirements.
  • Assist with value engineering and alternate pricing opportunities.
  • Organize estimating files and maintain complete bid documentation.
  • Coordinate successful project turnover to production following project award.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, architects, and general contractors.
