Requirements

  • Previous experience with or ability to learn effective landscaping skills and techniques.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating equipment (loader, bobcat, skid steer, or other used in landscape installation) is helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and other landscape products is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform labor and tasks necessary for the installation of landscape design elements.
  • Assist other Crew Members and Crew Leader with transforming design plans into quality landscape designs.
  • Assist in the daily preparation of trucks and equipment, including loading and securing equipment, plants, and hardscape materials.
  • Perform the planting of trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials, as well as the installation of wood and stone mulch.
  • Install hardscapes, water features, lighting, and irrigation systems, including retaining walls, boulders, wall stone, pavers, etc.
  • Execute all tasks involved in installation such as digging, shoveling, raking, sweeping, pruning, watering, picking stones, and clearing debris.
  • Restore existing landscapes to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Load and unload materials and supplies (requires lifting over 50 pounds).
  • Operate equipment such as trucks, Bobcats, compactors, trenchers, masonry saws, etc.
  • Utilize hand tools such as wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, picks, brooms, etc.
  • Ensure daily maintenance of tools and equipment, including cleaning, sharpening, greasing, and fueling.
  • Complete the cleanup of work sites to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Assist with snow removal during the winter months as business needs dictate.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
