About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Landscape Architecture graduates to join their Kansas City office in 2027. This is an on-site position where Analysts will utilize technical software programs for analysis, production, and quality control of client deliverables. The role involves contributing to site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic/technical production for a variety of projects including land planning, urban design, mixed-use developments, streetscapes, public infrastructure, parks, and community facilities. Analysts will also solve complex problems, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines. A key part of the role involves developing familiarity with relevant regulations and company/client standards. Analysts will gain proficiency in software such as Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Excel.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Landscape Architecture (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.

Nice To Haves

  • Analysts will learn one or more software programs: Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
  • Contribute to the site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
