About The Position
Waste Connections is seeking a Landfill Laborer at the White Oak Landfill in Monroe, LA. This role involves performing various site maintenance and operational tasks to ensure the efficient and safe functioning of the landfill. The position requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. throughout a 10+ hour shift, move and perform physical labor daily
- A safety-first mindset and team player attitude
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating a tractor and bush hog is a plus
Responsibilities
- Weed-eating and general site maintenance
- Pressure washing equipment and work areas
- Assisting with scale operations and helping load/unload trucks
- Performing cleanup tasks and other duties assigned by the supervisor
