Landfill Equipment Operator - Hiring Immediately
About The Position
The Landfill Equipment Operator inspects incoming waste and places and manages waste on the site. The role involves moving and spreading waste and earth, and operating the site efficiently and safely. The operator also participates in assigned company-sponsored training, keeps up to date with job-appropriate technology used by Waste Pro USA, and performs additional duties assigned by the Supervisor. The position requires operating heavy equipment, including a front-end loader, and following refuse disposal policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices. The operator must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, maintain written records, and meet the stated physical and sensory requirements. Requirements
- Valid driver's license for the state in which the position works.
- Clean driving record.
- Two years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to manipulate heavy equipment control levers.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain written records.
- Ability to hear in the normal audio range, with or without correction.
- Ability to see in the normal visual range, with or without correction.
- Ability to exhibit a normal range of body motion.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to climb into and out of a truck repeatedly.
Nice To Haves
- 24-hour Landfill Operators License.
- High school diploma or GED.
