About The Position

The Landfill Equipment Operator inspects incoming waste and places and manages waste on the site. The role also involves moving and spreading waste and earth, and supporting the efficient and safe operation of the site.

The operator uses heavy equipment, follows refuse disposal policies and procedures, understands and carries out oral and written instructions, and maintains written records. Employees must attend assigned company-sponsored training, keep up to date on job-appropriate technology used by Waste Pro USA, and perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license for the state where the position works.
• Clean driving record.
• Two years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to operate a front-end loader and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to manipulate heavy equipment control levers.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to maintain written records.
• Ability to hear in the normal audio range, with or without correction.
• Ability to see in the normal visual range, with or without correction.
• Normal range of body motion.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to climb into and out of a truck repeatedly.

Nice To Haves

• 24-hour Landfill Operators License preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities
