About The Position

HDR is hiring for a surveying role within its Transportation Business Group, which supports transportation systems and infrastructure including highways, bridges, transit, rail, aviation, ports, and marine projects. The role involves conducting field layout and survey research, preparing base maps, coordinating survey-team work, and supervising and training team members. Requirements

• Associate degree in a closely related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Commitment to actively participating in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform field layout for all assigned sites.
• Conduct project research and review client and government records.
• Prepare more complex base maps.
• Plan and schedule survey teams’ work in preparation of base maps and act as party chief on routine surveys.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate survey team members’ work in the field and office as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
