This leadership role involves guiding project delivery, supporting team growth, and expanding surveying and mapping services for complex infrastructure projects. Requirements

Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in California
10+ years of progressively responsible land surveying and mapping experience
3+ years of project management experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office, and Teams
Familiarity with state and county mapping requirements
Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills

Responsibilities

Lead surveying and mapping projects from initiation through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met.
Mentor staff and support business development efforts.
Lead project management efforts including scope development, fee proposals, scheduling, and contract negotiations.
Support marketing initiatives including proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs/RFQs.
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships across Southern California.
Provide technical oversight and strategic direction across survey projects including transportation design surveys, right-of-way engineering and mapping, construction surveys, ALTA surveys, and topographic mapping.
Mentor and develop survey staff, CAD drafters, and subconsultants, supporting professional growth and team development.
Lead project meetings, manage communication, and ensure alignment between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
