Psomas is a 100% employee-owned firm seeking a Land Survey Project Manager for their Survey & Geospatial team in Los Angeles/Santa Clarita. This leadership role involves guiding project delivery, supporting team growth, and expanding surveying and mapping services for complex infrastructure projects. Requirements

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in California
• 10+ years of progressively responsible land surveying and mapping experience
• 3+ years of project management experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office, and Teams
• Familiarity with state and county mapping requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead surveying and mapping projects from initiation through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met.
• Mentor staff and support business development efforts.
• Lead project management efforts including scope development, fee proposals, scheduling, and contract negotiations.
• Support marketing initiatives including proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs/RFQs.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships across Southern California.
• Provide technical oversight and strategic direction across survey projects including transportation design surveys, right-of-way engineering and mapping, construction surveys, ALTA surveys, and topographic mapping.
• Mentor and develop survey staff, CAD drafters, and subconsultants, supporting professional growth and team development.
• Lead project meetings, manage communication, and ensure alignment between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
