About The Position

As a Land Survey Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Monroeville, PA office, you'll be part of a survey field crew performing work on topographic and boundary surveys, and construction stakeouts. You will perform land survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices and use of modern survey equipment. You will operate instrumentation, clear brush, drive stakes, hold chains or rods, record data, prepare sketches and maintain equipment as needed. Ultimately, this position will provide a foundation for further professional development as a land surveyor. Housing assistance is not provided, therefore local candidates are preferred. Through the CEC Internship Program, you will: Acquire practical experience applying knowledge from college courses, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities Collaborate closely with a mentor in your discipline to tackle real-world challenges Participate in workshops to help foster interpersonal skills within the workplace and prepare students for success in their full-time careers

Requirements

Pursuing Associates or Bachelors in Survey Engineering, Geomatic Engineering, or other related field preferred
Possession of sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions
AutoCAD experience or GIS experience
