About The Position

Civix Consulting Group (CCG) is seeking a full-time Land Specialist to support public works projects in South Louisiana. This role is crucial for advancing projects through pre-planning and right of way acquisition, ultimately helping to build stronger communities. The Land Specialist will support project managers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful execution of transformative projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of professional experience in a related field such as land management, planning, or law.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Problem solving and critical thinking skills and a strong work ethic.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Desire to grow in all disciplines within the right of way industry.
Ability to maintain daily timesheet with notes of services provided.
Strong technical skills and experience utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite.
An advanced degree or internship experience may substitute for years of professional experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience working on a GIS platform to map property boundaries and project features.

Responsibilities

Conducting title research and preparing abstracts with a high degree of accuracy.
Reading and interpreting engineering maps, construction plans, and property descriptions.
Preparing accurate, detail-oriented work products while managing multiple assignments.
Working within the parameters of client specifications that vary from project to project.
Managing the land acquisition process using CCG's technology and tools.
Mapping property boundaries and project features on a GIS platform (a plus).
